Abstract
This research aims to describe 1 ) the implementation of a method of a question and answer session in their experiences mathematical to the fifth grade students of Gemantar 2 elementary school, 2 ) the obstacles in the implementation of a method of a question and answer session in their experiences of public school in mathematics of the fifth grade of Gemantar 2 elementary school, and 3 ) give solution from the barriers for the implementation of a method of a question and answer session in their experiences of public school in mathematics of the fifth grade of Gemantar 2 elementary school. The technique of collecting data in this study is observation, interview, and documentation. Data are analyzed through reduction, presentation of data and the withdrawal of conclusion. The technique of examination data is not tampered with performed with triangulation of the sources and technique. The type of this research is qualitative research which is conducted as case study. Informants in this research are headmaster of school, the fifth grade teacher and fifth-grade students. The results of research shows that: 1 ) a method of a question and answer session has been applied in public primary schools Gemantar 2. This method helps students easier to understand material and methods that may make to be more willing to in expressing their opinion. 2) The obstacles in the implementation of question and answer session in mathematics of the fifth grade of Gemantar 2 elementary school is the students who have lack of confidence in or still felt to be afraid of answering the question because they assume they have not yet called out to the material that was delivered or because they have trouble in understanding mathematics. 3) Thr solutions of these constraints with accustom students who less active or had difficulty in learning mathematics to answer questions. Therefore, the students will be challenged to be more pay attention and learn the materisl for the next day when teachers give the questions, students can answer. Through the implementation of the integration can make students easier to understand the material so that the purpose of learning can be achieved.
