Abstract
Changes in traffic volume on Ahmad Yani road of Kartasura give an impact on road conditions and the remaining life of the road. This study aims to determine the amount of the volume of Average Daily Traffic (ADT) 2015 and 2018, find out the magnitude of the value of traffic growth, and find out the age of the remaining road due to changes in traffic volume that occurred on the road. Real data collection (2018) was obtained from the results of a field survey and the data plan (2015) was obtained from the institution. These data are needed in calculating the value of traffic growth. Then the calculation of the remaining life of the road using the method by Bina Marga 2013 and AASHTO 1993, which is obtained from the value of the number of vehicles and the Equivalent Standard Axle Load (ESAL) value of the vehicle under normal conditions. Based on the results of the analysis of the number of vehicles in 2015 amounted to 31.749 vehicles and in 2018 amounted to 34.539 vehicles, with a traffic growth rate of 45.6% per year. On the calculation of the remaining life of the road, the remaining life value is 92.58%, which means that the remaining life of the road has only decreased by 8% over the last 3 years. The road did indeed experience a change in traffic volume, but did not affect the occurrence of indications of early damage and the remaining life of the road was expired in 2025.
