Abstract
A network monitoring is a necessary activity done to monitor the changes to detemine whether every device connected to the network work well or not. The increasing number of the internet subcribers result in the more complex network. The risk of damage and disturbance also increase, so the network admin must monitor the network system all the time. A monitoring system engineering aims at helping the admin to monitor the installed network system. A mikrotik router operating system (OS) and the dude application are applied to monitor the network. The mikrotik router os will connect the installed network system with the dude application. A notification system will provide the lastest information of the device condition that has been detected or read by the dude application that arranged and installed in the mikrotik through the media of telegram, e-mail and sms. The test show that the device connected to the network and read by the dude application will shutdown, broke or turn off the connection singed by the time out ping so the device will be down. In this condition, the notification will send the network admin a messages automatically through the media telegram, e-mail and sms about the information of the device condition. The notification system of telegram, e-mail and sms will help the network admin to know the device condition without looking at in the real time, so the network admin can work effectively.
