Abstract

Abstrack Spinning unit PT Primatexco Indonesia textile company is still experiencing delays in delivery due to the waste that occurs in the area of production. Therefore this research was conducted to reduce the waste that exists on the production floor in order to make the production process becomes more streamlined with recommendations proposed improvements that will agitate the shipping lead time can be done accordingly target the set. Approach to value stream mapping is a mapping diagram can be mengidentififikasi the time required in a work product. The purpose of the VSM is to acquire a whole picture of the moment with regard to the processing time then it can be known, the non value added value added and necessary non value added, so as to devise a situation in the future from raw material until a good finishing. The result of the mapping activity obtained production lead time of 33,120 minutes. With the number of VA activity as much as a 9, the activity of the NVA were as much as 8 and as many as 68 NNVA activity. Based on the recommendations of the proposed improvements obtained lead time can be reduced to 32,821 minutes or 0.9%. As well as the operating time can be reduced by 299 minutes and time is the omitted category is largely a delay.
