Abstract
Patellar fracture is a breaking continuity of the bone of the patella due to the amount of pressure received by the bone greater than absorbed it. To determine the benefits of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation and exercise therapy in post patellar fracture surgery cases. After 6 th therapy, using Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and exercise therapy decrease in degree of pain and increase of joint motion : decrease of degree of tendency T1 = 4,8 to T6 = 2,8. Motion pain decreases the degree of pain T1 = 4,6 to T6 = 2,5. Changes in joint range motion : T1 to T2 has increased the active knee joint sphere of T1 S : 10°-0°-40° to T2 S : 10°-0°-50° and increased passive joint motion T1 S : 10°-0°50° to T2 S : 10 °-0°-60°,active T2 to active T3 also progresses from S: 10°-0°-50° to 10°-0°-60°. Passive T2 to Passive T3 also increases from S : 10°-0°-60° to 10°-0°-70°. While T3 to T6 active or passive stagnant at S : 10°-0°-60° and S : 10°-0°-70° because it is blocked by wire that is still mounted on the patient’s knee. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) modality and exercise therapy can derease the degree of pain and increase the range of motion of the knee.
