Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the structure building of Anak Rantau novel by Ahmad Fuadi, (2) describe moral value in the Anak Rantau novel by Ahmad Fuadi with a review of literary sociology, (3) explain the implementation of the research results as literary teaching materials in vocational schools. This research type is descriptive qualitative research. The data use primary and secondary data in the Anak Rantau novel. Technique of analyzing data uses library data. Data validity uses triangulation data. The results show three discussions. (1) Structural research in the Anak Rantau novel by Ahmad Fuadi produced a theme of struggle and loyalty. The main figure of the novel is Hepi and other figures relate to the main figure are Martiaz, Attar, Zen, Datok Marajo Labiah(grandfather), Salisah(grandmother), Bang Lenon, Bang Nopen, dan Mak Tuo Ros. The novel uses advanced plot. The settings consist of setting of place, setting of time, situational setting and social setting. (2) the Anak Rantau novel by Ahmad Fuadi contains moral value. There are consist of several moral values namely honesty moral, authentic value, responsibility, independence, realistic and critical. (3) the result of this research is implemented as literary teaching material in vocational schools with KD 3.9 Which analyzing the content and language of fiction novel. In making teaching must contain several criteria namely language, psychology, and cultural background.
