Abstract
The background of this research is the Al-Qur'an is the most important source of Islamic teachings in human life, especially for Muslims. In an effort to maintain 2 the verses and letters in the Qur'an to maintain the authenticity of various programs and methods to memorize the Qur'an. Do not want to miss the world of education began to take a role to collaborate between formal education and Tahfizhul Qur'an. Early on, the Al-Qur'an is not only introduced, but also to be memorized and studied meaning and interpretation. Good in elementary school to high school. This has been done by many religious-based schools, especially in Islamic boarding schools. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of student memorization on student learning achievement on interpretation subjects. This becomes important because of the problems in the world of education that are increasingly complex, thus requiring new breakthroughs. With the existence of the Tahfizh program, it is expected to be a reference for the application of learning methods in the world of education. Especially for public schools in order to participate as an example to implement the tahfizh program in learning. This research is a field research, with a historical or historical approach. Sources of data from this study are in the Islamic Boarding School Aliyah Tahfizhul Qur'an (MATIQ) Islamic boarding school Isy Karima, while the subject of this study is the Tahfidz coordinator, Tafsir subject teachers and students. Data collection techniques are carried out using the method of observation or observation, interviews and documentation that can support research studies. Data analysis was carried out with a descriptive model which had three components, namely, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. From the results of the study can be concluded that, students with good memorization level as evidenced by the value of Tahfizhul Qur'an affects the value or results of achievement in the subject of Tafsir. Likewise, students with less ability to memorize also have an influence on the value of their interpretation. All that can be seen from the reference to the final grades of students on report cards.
