Abstract

Sukoharjo is one of the big growing districts in Central Java. The development of Sukoharjo regency consists of several aspects ranging from economy, tourism and development. These developments have attachment to each other. With the development of development, the economic aspects are also experiencing growth. These developments also led to the growth of population both from birth and immigrants also increased so gradually overcrowding and transportation also increased. These developments should also be offset by the increase in public services provided by the government so as not to create a gap between the aspects of one another. Government services can be improved especially on the transportation side. With the increasing population and visitors automatically the level of road density is higher so it is not impossible if there is congestion. There are several steps that governments can take to improve on the transportation side, from widening roads and improving public transport service facilities. Improving the services of public transport facilities is the easiest step, but if you look at the facilities owned by Sukoharjo on the transportation aspect may be still quite far away. Sukoharjo terminal which is the closest terminal to Sukoharjo district center still needs improvement in some areas. The terminal looks less manicured and still far from a terminal. Terminal will run properly and according to its function if the terminal can meet the needs of the community both in terms of service and the side of the vehicle. With still many shortcomings, it is necessary to revamping the terminal by means of reorganize and development tailored to the functions and needs that are guided by the standards. With these steps, it is expected to help balance the development so that there is no gap and can realize the vision and mission of Sukoharjo regency.
