Abstract

The city of Surakarta (Solo) is located in Central Java Province, Indonesia. Bordered directly with several districts of Karanganyar, Boyolali, Klaten, Sukoharjo, Sragen and Wonogiri. Surakarta is known as one of the centers and core of ancient Javanese culture because it is traditionally one of the center of politics and development of Javanese tradition. Surakarta is famous for the cultural values that began to flourish in Indonesia about 7-10 years ago with the potential of creativity of the nation's children deserve to be developed in Surakarta as a city of kratif. The development of tourism in Surakarta has the concept of "Solo past is Solo future", which means "Solo is rich in potential.In order to develop the city of Surakarta as a creative city it is necessary to carry out development efforts, namely by doing three important aspects in the development of creative city concept that is; maintenance and development of creative economic potential, creative classroom maintenance, and planning and development of creative environment. From these three aspects then it is necessary facilities that can support the progress of the City of Surakara as Creative City of the creativity of the nation.With the presence of planning "Taman Kreativitas Anak Bnagsa in Surakarta (TKAB)" will be the beginning of the development of Creative City in Surakarta by accommodating the creativity of the nation. The design process is passed through several stages: literature study, observation, and data analysis so that it is expected to realize TKAB according to the purpose. TKAB itself consists of educational area, exhibition area, show area and trade area (buying and selling) that can display expressive character in arrangement of building display space, and landscape with contemporary architectural approach.
