Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe, (1) the structure that built of Tere Liye Kau, Aku, dan Sepucuk Angpau Merah novel, (2) the social aspects of the novel, and (3) the relevance of research results in high school literature. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The object of study in this novel is the social aspect. The data required in this research is a paragraph in the novel. Primary data source obtained from Tere Liye Kau, Aku, dan Sepucuk Angpau Merah novel. Secondary data sources namely articles from the internet relating to findings. Data collection techniques used using library techniques and techniques refer to note. The technique of data validity using the theory triangulation technique and source triangulation technique. Technique of data analysis using dialectic method. Based on the analysis that has been done, there are three research results, (1) the structure that builds the novel, includes the characterization of Borno, Pak Tua, Mei, and Andi, the groove forward, the background place occurred in Pontianak and Surabaya, the background time in 2008 to 2010, and the theme of love struggle, (2) social aspect contained in the novel include culture, rural and urban, and poverty experienced by the Pontianak community, (3) the results of this study are relevant to the learning of literature in class XI first semester in accordance with SK 7 KD 7.2 for education unit level curriculum and class XII grade 1st semester in KD 3.1 and KD 4.1 for the curriculum 2013.
