Abstract
Development of concrete technology in these days is heading towards high fluidity so compacting aids are no longer needed with the use of compacting machine or vibrator. Self compacting concrete or SCC for short is an inovative concrete which can compact itself and is able to flow its own weight to fill the mould even on the tightest angle without separation of the formation materials which is known as segregation. Usage of fly ash is beneficial due to reduced use of cement, and reducing hidration heat on concrete. In this research, concrete cylinder with 15 cm diameter and 30 cm height is used in the experiment. Compression and Tension tests are carried out when the concrete reaches 1 day and 28 days of age. Test variables include fly ash gradation, cement water ratio, and addition of superplasticizer. From the test carried out, it could be concluded that 1 day old concrete with cement water ratio 0,3 gave the highest compression strenght which is equal with 28 days old concrete with equal cement water ratio.
