Abstract
The use of synthetic coloring agents (ZPS) in daily life has an impact to the environment because it is a carcinogenic. Therefore, there should be a way to produce natural coloring agents (ZPA) in order to change the usage of ZPS. The skin of the dragon fruit could be used as ZPA because it contains anthocyanin pigments or flavonoid .The production of the dragon fruit peel ZPA is done by ultrasonic extraction or UAE (Ultrasound Assisted Extraction) with variable extraction time which is 30, 60 and 90 minutes, because extraction with UAE (Ultrasound Assisted Extraction) has the advantage of a faster process than conventional extraction. In order to increase the color fastness ,banana latex is added in various concentration (10,00, 20,00, and 30,00% volume). In the test of endurance used soda ash mordanting solution, resulting in a sharper color on the fabric. To determine the results of this study carried out the colormfastness test against washing, colormfastness to dry and wet rubbing. The best results in this study were variations in the composition of natural dyes extracted 30 minutes at 50°C and 2,00% solvent with the addition of 30,00% banana latex. Themconclusionmof this study is thatathere is an influencemon the addition of banana sap as a fastness to the fabric.
