Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and prosocial behavior of nurses at Dr. RSUD. Moewardi. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive relationship between emotional regulation and prosocial behavior of nurses at Dr. RSUD. Moewardi. The sample used was 200 nurses. The sampling technique used in this study is proportional sampling. Data collection method uses a quantitative approach with emotion regulation scale and prosocial behavior scale. While the data analysis was carried out by Spearman’s rho's nonparametric analysis using the SPSS for 16 windows. Based on the results of data analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.396; significance (p) of 0,000 (p ≤ 0.01) which means that there is a very significant positive relationship between emotional regulation and prosocial behavior of nurses at Dr. RSUD. Moewardi. Effective contribution or role of emotion regulation on prosocial behavior is 15.7%, the remaining 84.3% is influenced by other factors. Emotional regulation variable has an empirical mean (RE) of 70.045 and a hypothetical (RH) average of 60 so that it has a relatively high category, while the prosocial behavior variable has an empirical mean (RE) of 63.865 and a hypothetical (RH) average of 50 so that it has a classified as high.
