Abstract

This study aims to instill manners in fourth-grade elementary students Muhammadiyah 22 Sruni Surakarta through 5S programs (Senyum, Salam, Sapa, Sopan Santun). This type of study is qualitative research with a single case study design. Subject in this research is fourth-grade elementary school teacher and fourth- grade elementary school students itself. Methods of collecting data using interview, observation and documentation. In this study, to test the validity data using Triangulation, that is triangulation of sources and triangulation techniques. Data analysis technique used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusion. The result of this study shows that: (1) Instilling manners through 5S programs can be done in various ways, that is: (a) Examplary or giving an example, (b) Routin Activities, (c) Teaching and Learning Activities, (d) Conditioning and (e) Counseling. (2) supporting factors in instillingmanners through 5S programs in fourth- grade elementary students Muhammadiyah 22 Sruni Surakarta, that is: (a) The curriculum used is 2013 curriculum, (b) School environment that habitually has applied 5S programs. While inhibiting factors in instillingmanners through 5S 2 programs in fourth- grade elementary students Muhammadiyah 22 Sruni Surakarta, that is: (a) Family environment and (b) Society environment. (3) Solution in overcoming the inhibiting factors in instilling mannersthrough 5S programs in fourth- grade elementary students Muhammadiyah 22 Sruni Surakarta, that is: (a) Cooperation with student’s parents, (b) frequently communicate with student’s parents, (c) Giving advice to students.
