Abstract

Social media evolved to address those needs and resulted in a change in the communication process between people. Info Sukoharjo as a Facebook fanpage is one of the proof of communication development in society. This study aims to determine the role of fanpage manager Facebook Sukoharjo Info on online participation Sukoharjo residents. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The object of this research is the Facebook account Sukoharjo Info. Data collection in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis technique used by the researcher is an interactive data analysis technique. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the Facebook Info Sukoharjo fanpage management role towards Sukoharjo residents' online participation is to select the incoming posts. Posts that come from members do not all have positive values for the community, not many of these posts form negative perceptions of the community, so that the selection carried out by the admin or manager of the fanspage will make fanspage more useful. The role of Facebook Info Sukoharjo's fanpage manager on the online participation of Sukoharjo residents is to provide useful information including traffic information, 2 government programs and so on. People can participate in providing correct information. Fanspage Info Sukoharjo is a vehicle for people to be informan.
