Abstract

The success of adolescents in the future one of them is determined in social adjustment. Factors affecting social adjustment are self-esteem because they have an important role to help individuals in improving social adjustment. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and social adjustment in adolescents. Samples taken amounted to 100 students using a sampling technique that is Accidental Sampling. Data collection methods use quantitative research methods with scale measuring tools, namely self-esteem scale and social adjustment scale. Data analysis techniques using product moment correlation technique from Carl Pearson. The results showed that self-esteem had a correlation with social adjustment of 0.517 with a significance level of 0.000, meaning that there was a very significant positive relationship between self-esteem and social adjustment in adolescents.
