Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of school literacy movement in inculcating the character likes to read high school students in SD Negeri 1 Sawahan. This research is included in qualitative research. The design of this study used a phenomenological approach to gathering through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study using data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. Test of validity in research using triangulation of data source and triangulation method of research findings that is implementation of school literacy movement in inculcating character likes to read high class student in SD Negeri 1 sawahan has been implemented for 1 year by using method 15 minute reading. Related to that, the level of reading is still low. The GLS conducted at SD Negeri 1 Sawahan focuses on reading with the aim of instilling a reading character in high-class students. The conclusion from the results of research that through the implementation of school literacy movement in inculcating the character likes to read the optimal akan meciptakan character likes to read good students and shaping the love of students to read.
