Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the character values creatively through extracurricular SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Sukolilo, to describe the implementation of the character values independently through extracurricular SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Sukolilo, to describe the challenges and solutions implementation character values creatively through extracurricular SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Sukolilo, for describe problems and solutions implementation independent character values through extracurricular SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Sukolilo. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were principals, coaches, and extracurricular participants. The object of this research is the implementation of creative and independent character values through extracurricular SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Sukolilo. The data collection used in this research is the technique of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data is done by triangulating data sources and triangulating techniques. Data analysis was carried out by applying interactive analysis models. The results of this study can be concluded that: 1) Implementation of the value of creative characters through extracurricular activities at Muholadiyah 3 Sukolilo Vocational High School that is sincerely accepting assignments with the aim of preparing for the future, dare to face reality, not satisfied with their work, provide activities that students have never done before , students are able to choose positive activities, students give new ideas. 2) Implementation of the value of independent character, namely students can be independent in doing the work, students do something to have good thinking power, provide challenges to students and they must work according to their abilities. 3) Constraints and solutions for the implementation of creative character values, namely lazy students, lack of courage in students, unwillingness to open up to new experiences, choosing to play with friends, a solution that can be done is to give strict sanctions. 4) Constraints and solutions for the implementation of independent character values that there are still students who depend on others, there are students who do not have good thinking power, and there are students who are unable to accept the challenge, a solution that can be done is to teach students to be able to, advise and provide motivation, and train patiently.
