Abstract
The development of technology makes online transportation tools grow rapidly. One of the most developed online taxi companies is Grab, but the emergence of the online taxi company Grab initially caused social conflict in the community, so it is important for PR to improve the company's image. This study aims to determine the role of Public Relations (PR) Grab Car as a means of image on the online taxi company Grab in Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. This method is used by researchers because researchers want to describe a phenomenon systematically, factually and accurately about the facts in the field. As in describing public relations in an effort to improve the image of Mitra Grab Car. The object in this study is Mitra Grab Car in Yogyakarta. Where researchers took some good informants who were members of grap partner users in Yogyakarta. Data collection in this study uses interviews. Data analysis techniques used in this study are using the analysis techniques of the Miles and Huberman models. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the role of Grab Car's public relations as an image tool for online taxi company Grab in Yogyakarta is done through policies on social awareness, identity building (branding) and environmental (cultural) concerns, namely by helping victims of natural disasters , improving public facilities and places of worship as well as assistance in the form of preservation of nature, so as to gain trust from the community
