Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in the efficiency of Islamic banking and conventional banks with the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. This type of research is quantitative research that uses secondary research data collection techniques. This study uses 5 Islamic banks and 5 conventional banks with sampling techniques using purposive sampling method. Testing with the assumption of Constant Rate to Scale (CRS) shows that conventional banks and Islamic banks in the 2014-2017 period operate efficiently. Some Islamic Banks and Conventional Banks reach an efficient value of up to 100%. Furthermore, through the t-test shows that there are significant efficiency differences in conventional banks and Islamic banks. So the hypothesis is proven to be true.
