Abstract

Cancer patients' self-confidence is an individual's confidence in the abilities possessed by themselves. This study aims to determine the picture of self-confidence in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.The informants from this study were selected by purposive sampling with the criteria of being diagnosed with cancer and had already done chemotherapy. The informants of this study were five people who had cancer at Solo Raya. Data collection techniques used in this study are semi-structured interviews.Data analysis uses interactive analysis techniques. The results of this study are the five informants closer to God after having cancer, surrender and try sincerely with the situation. Trying to recover as usual and keep trying to socialize with the environment. There are differences in confidence in the informants, namely informants with different responsibilities and also the informants who work. Factors that affect self-confidence are internal and external factors. Internal factors that influence are responsibility, gratitude, enthusiasm and motivation to oneself, openness with others, ways of thinking, and hopes for recovery. External factors that affect the work, and support and motivation of others. Keywords: Confidence, cancer patients, chemotherapy
