Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in preventing school dropouts in Ngumbul Village, Todanan Subdistrict, Blora Regency, 2017, including the constraints faced and solutions provided. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis applies interactive model through data collection process, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the Family Hope Program (PKH) can prevent children dropping out of school in Ngumbul Village because PKH provides financial assistance to families of beneficiaries PKH in the field of education that can not afford in Ngumbul Village with the condition must remain committed to the requirements that have been determined, otherwise the help will be suspended. Assistance obtained by families of PKH beneficiaries in the field of education is used to finance educational needs, such as paying tuition fees, one semester examination fees, and Field Work Practices. PKH assistance funds in the education sector are also used to purchase or pay for various needs of children's learning tools or schools such as notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, and payment of LKS and photocopy of the relevant subject books. PKH policy also contributes to give attention to the importance of education for children who delivered PKH companion to PKH beneficiaries in the field of education during group meetings, it is certainly a positive impact for KPM PKH children who then get attention from their parents in the form of reminding learn and make schedule long study. Obstacles in the implementation of PKH in preventing school dropouts are difficulties in using ATM cards when disbursing aid funds so that ATM cards are swallowed at the ATM machine and incorrectly entering pins, and improper use of PKH assistance in education. Alternative solutions to overcome these obstacles are to assist in disbursement of assistance at ATM machines, the creation of new ATM cards and new ATM pins, and to provide continuous socialization or notification of the use of PKH assistance funds in education that must be used for their purposes.
