Abstract

ABSTRACT The sport of orienteering doesn’t run optimally without a tool named manual punch. In fact, the necessary for manual punch as a major component in the competition are not offset by the availability of orienteering, which later became one of the obstacles faced by activists or organizers of orienteering in Indonesia. Based on these problems, then the products into the design on this research tool is the Manual Punch Orienteering is used as a marker for each control point in sports Orienteering. The making of product design tool Manual Punch begins by identifying the customer's needs. Methods used in the development of a Manual Punch this is by using the method of Reverse Engineering, the application of the science of ergonomics, Anthropometry data processing, then proceed with the design of software design using SolidWork. The results of design were obtained based on a descriptive analysis of the questionnaire and the interview is a product design that is comfortable, secure, and can remove plug on the nail hole with a total of 12 nail, with the curved upper body and flat-bottom body as well as the horizontal strap hole.
