Abstract
This study aims to determine the area around the White River which has the potential for lahar floods, to know the area around the White River which has the potential for lahar floods from the modeling of Laharz Software and to analyze the spatial distribution suitability of lava flood potential based on the results of a field survey with Laharz modeling The method used to obtain results in this study is modeling and field surveys. Modeling comes from Laharz Software which is ArcInfo Macro Language based Software which is integrated with ArcInfo Workstation software. Laharz is a software that is designed to look for the nearest overflow potential from a river flow source based on the cell value on the DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data so that it can determine the areas affected by lava flows easily. DEM data cannot be directly used so it must be converted into Raster format. Field surveys are carried out to support data that involves the surrounding communities to cover river conditions to community activities. The results of this study are the spatial distribution of regions that have the potential to be passed by pyroclastic materials, especially in the White River area in the District of Dukun, Srumbung and Salam. The second result of this study is Laharz modeling that produces virtual lava through areas that are potentially affected by lava flood, namely Dukun Subdistrict, Srumbung District and Salam Subdistrict. The third result is that there is a suitability of spatial agreement between field survey activities and lava modeling
