Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the influence of gadgets on the student achievement class of 2015/2016 PG-PAUD Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This research used quantitative experimental method. Population in this research was student of PG-PAUD departement in the academic year of 2015/2016 in Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. It consisted of 74 students. A sample of the research used 20 students of PG-PAUD department. Each class representated taken 10 studens. The data were collected by questionnaire and documentation with the data analysis technique used simple linier regression. In this research, the data analysis technique of significance test of simple linier regression coefficient (significant test) obtained Fvalue > Ftable that was 6,703 > 4,414, and significant value < 0,05 that is 0,019 < 0,05. tvalue > t table that was 2,589 > 2,101 and significant value < 0,05 that is 0,019 < 0,05. This meant there was significant influence between gadget variable (X) to academic achievement (Y). The conclusion of this research was that there was the influence of gadget to academic achievement at the student of PG – PAUD department of the academic year of 2015/2016 at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
