Abstract

Abstract Pasar Gede is the largest market in Surakarta which is one of the trading centers of various commodities needed by the community. There are 40 male pelvis men who are members of the SPTI (Indonesian Transport Workers Union) organization InPasarGede the porters carried out loading and unloading activities from the truck to the merchant's shop by carrying a load of 70-200 kg. The loading and unloading activities are carried out using human power and assisted by trolley tools. The workload that is transported becomes one of the triggers of musculoskeletal complaints in the coolie pelvis The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between workload and musculoskeletal complaints in coolie pelvic floor at Pasar Gede Surakarta. The design of this study uses a cross sectional approach. The population was in this study were 40 people. The technique use in sampling is total sampling with a sample of 40 people. The results of the study with Spearman rank correlation test obtained p value (Sig) = 0.019 <α = 0.05 with a value of r = 0.368 which means there is a relationship. Between From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between workload with musculoskeletal complaints on porters in pasargede Surakarta with low power relations. Suggestions that can be given is to reduce the weight of the load carried, increase the number of members to work done lighter and faster completed, take advantage of the rest time as possible and conduct health checks.
