Abstract
The intelligence every child has varies. No child is stupid, it’s just that the level of intelligence is different. Extracurricular activities is one way to develop children’s intelligence. By following extracurricular in school, childrens are able to develop their intelligence. One of extracurricular that is able to develop children’s kinesthetic intelligence is taekwondo extracurricular. The purpose of this research are; 1) to describe the step of taekwondo extracurricular implementatio; 2) constraint and solutions of schools in developing kinesthetic intelligence of students through taekwondo extracurricular in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Falah Gedongan; 3) as well as describing students’ kinesthetic intelligence after attending taekwondo extracurricular activities. This research is qualitative reseach with qualitative descriptive method. The research design is case study and data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique with reduction, data display, and conclussion. Test validity of data using triangulation technique and source. The research findings are, 1) taekwondo extracurricular implemetation is done through three stages, namely the stage of planning, implementation, and evaluation; 2) contraints and solution for schools in the developing kinesthetic intelligence in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Falah Gedongan there are several obstacles, namely the training si only done once a week, there is still a minimum of students participating in the taekwondo championship to make achievements, training tools are still minimum, the trainer also has a training schedule outside school, the solution are for the school to take steps by recruiting studensts, providing the required facilities, contracting trainer, training students regularly with physical activitieies to applying physical activities through taekwondo moves, giving taekwondo championship opportunities, and evaluating; 3) the result of taekwondo training show that, after participating taekwondo extracurricular students are physically stronger and they can exel by following taekwondo championship.
