Abstract
The eucalyptus plant (Melalauca leucadendron Linn.) is one of the essential oils, with spread throughout Indonesia. Essential oil produced in the form of eucalyptus oil has many benefits, especially in the field of medicine, so that eucalyptus oil has become a necessity for the people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leaf condition and distillation time on the yield of eucalyptus oil obtained. The material used was 500 grams of eucalyptus leaves with the treatment of the material of dried eucalyptus leaves and fresh eucalyptus leaves with variations of distilling time of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 hours. The research result showed that the best quantity of eucalyptus oil was dry leave with 5 hours time, resulting in 0.79%.
