Abstract

Modality Markers in the Text of the Qur'an (TTA). Thesis. Postgraduate Studies Language, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Surakarta, April 2018. This study aims to (1) describe the form of adverbs of modalities in the text of the translation of the Qur'an (TTA), (2) to describe adverb categories of adverbs of modalities in the text of the translation of the Qur'an (TTA), (3) to describe the implementation of research results of forms and categories of modalities the text of the translation of the Qur'an as a teaching material in junior high. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study are all lingual units that contain the form and category of adverbia modalities in the text of the translation of the Quran (TTA). The data collection technique used in this research is the technique of refer to note. The technique is used to listen to the text of the Qur'anic translation (TTA) to identify data about the various uses of lingual units that contain adverbs of modalities. Record techniques are used to record data on the use of lingual units containing adverbs of modalities. Data analysis in this research using method of agih and method of padan. The results of this study are (a) The basic form that marks the modalities. ( -أصر ( 2 يصر , (asoru-yasoru), ( تفاعل ( 4 (taqaala) interrelationship, and (5) the necessity of 1))لىيجب ) certainty ل(in strength) yajabaal). (b) The derivative forms include. 1) The re-formation which marks the modalities (a) hope of لعل (laala) and عسى (asyaya), (b) warning (lan) ,لن and (c) كأن -أصر (ka'ana). 2) Affixed marking modalities (a) sincerity بل (yal), (b) presuppositions لو (lawa), (c) عون (una) desires, and (d) volition دون (duna). (c) The combination of words that characterize the modalities (a) expectations ل(reinforcement), (b) the presuppositions of كاد (kadu), and (c) the من desires. 4) Particle form which marks the modalities (a) لاcommand (laam), (b) certainty ل(ream amplifier), (c) pointer كذلك (kadhalika), and (d) determination يصر -أصر (asoru-yasoru). (b) Modified categories of adverbs of modalities are three kinds. (1) Adverbs of modalities modifiers modify the adjective / adjective terminals are 23 words. (2) The modifying adverb of modifying the noun / noun phrase is 11 words. (3) Moderate adverbs modify verbs / verb phrases totaling 79 words. (c) The research results on the form and category of adverbs of this modality marker can be implemented as teaching materials of Core Competence 3. The resums are ability to be mastered when reviewing the structure and linguistic aspects of gurindam namely modalities.
