Abstract

Land coversion from agricultural land to non-agricultural land need tecnic and administrative regulation. Strict regulations are needed to reduce the land conversion that can harm living environment and humans. Only yellow zone land that can convert to non-agricultural land. Green zone land can’t be converted to non-agricultural land, except for special conditions from local government. Tightened regulations about land conversion make new problem that is illegal land conversion. Illegal land conversion happens with new building that built above green zone land witch is prohibited. There is 12 Ha illegal land conversion happens on Kabupaten Sukoharjo. There is new problems and negative efeects caused by illegal land conversion for the life environment. That negative effects are floods, harvest failure, broken roads, food production deficit, etc.
