Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, work discipline on employee performance. The population that became the object of this research is the employee of Education Office of Surakarta City. The sample used is 50 employees by using simple random sampling method. Data analysis methods used were validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, and multiple linier regression analysis test. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis with t test shows that the variables of work motivation and work discipline significantly influence the performance of employees. Furthermore, through the F test shows that the variables of work motivation and work discipline significantly affect employee performance. The result of determination coefficient test (R ^ 2) obtained R square equal to 0,461 It shows that employee performance can be explained by work motivation variable, work discipline is 46,1%, while 53,9% is influenced by other factors outside of variables studied.
