Abstract

This research used a quasi-experimental design with two way analysis of variance with unequal cell which aims to know the difference of influence of learning model, student learning style, and both interaction. The population of thie study are student of VIII grade of SMP Negeri 5 Surakarta. The samples of this study consist of two classes, VIII D and VIII E which selected by random sampling technique. Technique of collecting data used are test methods, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Testing instrument validity is conducted with product moment and reliability using cronbach alpha. The conclusions of this study indicate that (1) there are differences in the effect of Two Stay Two Stray learning model in the experimental class and direct learning in the control class on the mathematics learning outcomes. The application of Two Stay Two Stray learning model is more effective than direct learning, it can be seen from the average value in Two Stay Two Stray class are 86,27, while the avarage value in the direct learning class are 79,17; (2) there are differences of influence between students’ learning activity with high, medium, low and the learning outcome;(3) There is no interaction between Two Stay Two Stray learning model and student learning activity toward mathematics learning outcomes.
