Abstract

Indonesia is a country with many of cultures, one of this is batik. Batik is a kind of cloth that specially made with distinctive motif and special steps or putting on hot candle (malam) on the cloth. There are so many types of batik in Indonesia, but one of batik with strong cultural value is batik with Solo’s motif. But today, many person has started to forget and not interested to preserve of this. Therefore, researches designing an application of Solo batik introduction by using “Augmented Reality (AR)” technology. This research is uses “Marker Based” method on AR technology. This method uses “marker” or “special marker” to show the result of the AR technology. The result from this research is an application is to make it easier when the people learning a variety of typical batik with Solo’s motif, also to provide a special attraction for the people to learning batik motifs using AR technology that a lot of tune now.
