Abstract

Culinary is one part of the culture or characteristic of an area. Solo is a city with many types of cultures, especially culinary with choices and flavors. Solo is one of area that has food places to find variety of solo’s culinary, not all places of Solo’s culinary is know by local and foreign tourisrs. Now, with exploiting the rapid development of information technology is the good way to introduce the typical of Solo’s culinary. The design of this applicaion based android, expected can make the local and foreign tourists to know variety culinary of Solo city easily. Using Location Based Service (LBS) technology and route pointer with Google Map API can be accessed by online. Users can search all type of Solo’s culinary, then the system will provide several selected dining alternatives in their location. Ease of finding information will be shows to image, also all description like opening hours and the next maps, its will encourage interest to visit the location. The design of application uses the “Waterfall” method which describes the squential approach starting from needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, partice and maintenance. This application is tested using “Black Box” mehod and “Questionnaire”. The results of “blackBox” testing explained that functions in te application are running well. The results of “Questionnaire” test of the questions are filled by 30 respondent from various circles explained that this application can be acces in public worthily. Finally, with this Solo’s culinary finder application, all culinary information in Solo city can be acces easily.
