Abstract

South Bengkulu Regency has several tourist attractions such as Down Market Beach, Youth Recreation Park, Beach Bengkenang, Rebis, Sepit Kancing and Manna Manna Cannon. Seven objects are partly less well-maintained condition seems to lack of equipment hygiene, paint-wall wall that has a lot of peeling, the walls began a lot of graffiti and inadequate accessibility, so that visitors who come to the tourist attraction is reduced. The objectives of this study include analyzing the internal and external potentials of tourism and analyzing the level of internal and external classification in each tourist destination. The method used is survey and field observation. The data needed are primary data and secondary data. Sampling method using purposive sampling. Data analysis in this research is done with SWOT Analysis. The results of this study show the tourist attraction in South Bengkulu Regency has a classification of internal and external potential is the Lower Market Beach, Youth Recreation Park, Beach Bengkenang, Sepit Kancing and Manna Manna Cannon. The classification of low potential is the object of Rebis Tebat tourism. Tourism development can be done by maximizing the quality of tourism by completing and repairing the damaged facilities along with routine maintenance and equipping the facilities and infrastructure that have not existed by conducting cooperation between the government and tourism parties with related parties. SWOT analysis shows that a constraint in the development of tourism object under study.
