Abstract

The new arrangement on the mechanism of settlement of traffic cases more effective comes after The Supreme Court Regulation Number 12 Year 2016 about the Procedure of Electronic Traffic-Based Traffic Violation Settlement, the various regions began to enact gradually, one of them is that has been enacted in Sukoharjo Region. The cops of Sukoharjo impose e-Tilang system since March 1, 2017. The implementation of e-Tilang system can facilitate the public in paying a fine without having to wait for trial at the local District Court. After the offender is given a ticket proof number and then used to pay a fine to the nearest ATM machine. This system can also prevent illegal levies between traffic violators and policemen. This study aims to explain the mechanism of the implementation of the e-Tilang and handling of traffic violations in Sukoharjo, to describe the police constraints in applying the system of e-Tilang,and to describe the implementation of the ticket in relation to the sense of community justice. In this study, the authors use empirical law approach that is with research primary data in the field. Type of this research used by writer is descriptive research. In this study the authors took a location in the Police Station of Sukoharjo with data sourced from primary data and secondary data. Data collection method in this study is used field research method is field research. Data analysis is done qualitatively by using deductive logic to draw conclusions from general terms into special or individual cases.
