Abstract
UNS is one campus in Surakarta, this is campus that applies concept green campus with existence of various types of living plants in an open area. Epiphytes is an organism that grow on the surface of a plant and derives its moisture and nutrient from the air, rain, water. This research aims to find out the types of epiphytic plants, and the distribution map of epiphytic plants in the Sebelas Maret University. The method used in this research is explorative with exploration. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Sampling location in four staitions is gateway of UNS, faculty of engineering, faculty of economics, and sport center of the UNS. The result of the identification of epiphytes there are 9 species of epiphytes Drynaria quercifolia, Pyrrosia piloselloides, Pyrrosia longifolia, Pyrrosia sp., Pyrrosia confluens, Drynaria sparsisora,Platycerium bifurcatum (Famili Polypodiaceae), Elaphoglossum sp. (famili Dryopteridaceae) and Dendrobium phalaenopsis (famili Orchidaceae). Observation on gateway of UNS found 5 species of epiphytes, faculty of engineering found 5 species of epiphytes, faculty of economics found 5 species of epiphytes, and sport center of the UNS found 6 species of epiphytes.
