Abstract

Vegetation is a collection of plants that comprise several species and live together somewhere. Vegetation analysis is a way to study the structure of vegetation and the composition of plant species. Klaten District there are many banners that are covered by various tree level vegetation. The purpose of this research is to know tree level vegetation based on diversity index in various umbul in Klaten regency, Central Java. The location of the study was determined by purposive sampling with explorative method consisting of 5 plots with size 20 x 20 m. The results of the study were 15 species of tree-level vegetation is Ficus sp., Artocarpus heterophylla, Persea Americana, Parkia speciosa, Leucaena glauca, Samanea saman, Cassia siamea, Mangifera indica, Filicium decipiens, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Ceiba pentandra, Morinda citifolia, Swetenia mahagoni, Mimusops elengi, Lagerstroemia speciosa belonging to 12 families. Based on Shannon-Wienner (H ') Diversity Index on various umbuls in Klaten Regency is low ie 0.850.
