Abstract

Pati regency is one of the drought-prone areas, one of which is meteorological drought that has an impact on agricultural drought. One of the commonly used methods for drought analysis is the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), which uses rainfall data as input data in the analyst. The purpose of this research is; (1) Analyze the spread of drought-prone areas of meteorology in Pati regency 2008 - 2017, (2) Analyze the effect of Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) on meteorological drought occurring in Pati Regency, (3) Analyze the impact of drought on rice crops in Kabupaten Pati in 2008 - 2017. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive by calculating the dryness index using Standarized Precipitation Index, then compare the value of SOI with meteorological drought with simple linear regression analysis, and compare meteorological drought data with agricultural productivity figures in Pati Regency since 2008 to 2017. The results of the research indicate that; (1) Pati district is drought-prone districts even up to very dry category, Spatial tendency of Maximum Drought in Pati District from 2008 to 2017 ie dryness with very dry category until very very dry is rare in Pati regency in the west especially Kecamatan Jakenan, Jaken, Batangan and Juwana, Wedarijaksa, and Trangkil except in 2015. Sub-districts other than those sub-districts are potentially very dry to very dry, (2) The drought that hit Pati Regency is strongly influenced by ENSO or El- Nino Southern Oscilation, and (3) The drought that hit Pati Regency had an impact on the productivity of certain sub-district agriculture, but it did not significantly affect the agricultural productivity of Pati Regency.
