Abstract

ABSTRACT Deasy Putri Kurnia Rahma / A510140032. ANALYSIS THE VALUE OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN STUDENTS CLASS III THEMES 4 "CATEGORY OF SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT" CURRICULUM 2013. Essay. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. April 2018. This study aims was to describe the educational values of characters contained in the third grade students' theme book 4 "Social Environment Care" curriculum 2013. This study is a qualitative research decripstive. The data in this study are statements that contain and show the value of character education. Data was collected using reading, refer, and noted. Data analysis method used in this content analysis. Of the 18 value of the characters educational launched by the Ministry of National Education, found 17 value of character education are available in the 3rd grade students' theme book 4 "Social Environment Care" 2013 curriculum namely: (1) religious, (2) tolerance, (3) discipline, (4)hard work, (5) creative, (6) independent, (7) democratic, (8) curiosity, (9) the national spirit, (10) patriotism, (11) recognize excellence, (12) friends/communicative, (13) love peace, (14) like reading, (15) care for the environment, (16) social care, (17) of responsibility. So it can be seen that there is an educational value character undiscovered value in the third grade student book theme 4 "Social Environment Care" 2013 curriculum that is honest.
