Abstract
Electricity distribution and transmission systems are the most important part, as both play a key role in the transmission of power from the plant to the load center especially to the 20 kV network. 20 kV distribution lines often experience interference which is usually a short circuit. Countermeasures of this disorder can be minimized by installing an electrical network protection tool that is a power breaker (CB). This protection tool should be able to localize the point of interference that occurs so as not to damage the installed electrical equipment. This can be mitigated by determining the capacity of the breaker. Penenelitian done by taking data from PT PLN then analyze the data that has been received. The computed noise current is a 3 phase short circuit current because this current is the largest current entering and the cause of whether the short circuit current can be calculated by the distance of the disturbance point with the source. After all calculations are completed the termination current value can be determined that is for the busbar system 20 kV its disconnection capacity of 34.08 kA and the transformer 150 kV its termination capacity of 34.08 kA so that the second PMT rating is 40 kA whereas in the transmitter line 1 its termination capacity equal to 13.53 kA so that the PMT repeater rating of Palur 1 is 25 kA. Keywoard : rating CB, CB, short-circuit
