Abstract

Hizbul Wathan scouting is an autonomous organization of Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah engaged in the scouting education og boys and girls, is an Islamic movement and the propaganda of amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, islamic religion and sourced from Al-Qur’an and As-Sunnah. The presence of Hizbul Wathan in the school certainly has an important role related to the cultivation of character values one of which is the love of the homeland. The purpose of this research is to observe how the internalization of love character of the homeland on the implementation of extracurricular of Hizbul Wathan in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. This type of research includes field research. Data source of this research is primary data source and secondary data. The method of collecting data of this research is using interview, observation, and documentation. Methods of data analysis using intercsionist analysis, while the method of thinking used is deductive. The result if this research is that internalization of the love character of the homeland on the implementation of extracurricular of Hizbul Wathan at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 of Surakarta was quite effective. This can be proved by the presence of several activities, namely line of march material applied to the implementation of school ceremony, mapping, first aid, camping, independtly works coaching, general knowledge material, and Hizbul Wathan attributes. Supporting factors in the process of internalization of the love character of the homeland in the form of availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure in the character education process in Hizbul Wathan, so the process of internalization will be easily realized. Then for the inhibiting factors in the process of internalization of love character of the homeland in the form of the emergence of a sense of laziness that presence in each individual so taht will be inhibit the cultivation of the character itself.
