Abstract

The job of cutting the onion is one of the routines in the kitchen that is usually done manually. The onions will be cut by using a sharp knife, if less caution in cutting onions, then it can cause the fingers being sliced. In addition, the productivity of cutting conventionally is very low so it is not suitable if applied to an effort cutting onions, therefore required a tool that can cut onion quickly. Onion cutting tool using the supplied DC motor from a battery and solar panel. This tool is designed with power plants that used to be handed later replaced by using DC motor. The electrical supply is obtained from the battery will be recharged by solar panels. Onion cutting tools is one tool that aims to support an increase in the production of sliced onions, ready to be fried. The benefits of this onion cutting tool can save electrical energy using renewable energy. The method used is by collecting materials such as DC motors, chopper boost, solar charger chontroller, wood, solar panels and other. Once collected and then carried out the manufacture of tools by designing materials that have been available. The next process is to conduct a test of whether the tool is in compliance with the desired or not. The result of this onion cutting tool can cut onion fine on State prisoners variable 25% with voltage of 3.1 V, and a current of A 3.3, power of 10.32 W with the speed of 905 RPM.
