Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of emotional abilities of children in group B in Kindergarten Kartasura Branch Year 2017/2018 through the media of storytelling. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). This study was conducted in 2 cycles for 4 meetings. The procedure of this study there are four stages of action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of cycle I and II actions that have been implemented, shows the emotional ability of early childhood through the media through storytelling has increased. Results before the research conducted through media storytelling about 49.07%, cycle I about 65.35%, there is a difference of 16.28%. In the second cycle increased by 83.43%. So there is a difference from cycle I to cycle II of 18.08%. This is because through the media of children's storytelling is very enthusiastic and interested to follow the learning activities, so that emotional ability increases. The conclusion of this research is through media of storytelling can improve early child emotional ability in group B TK Aisyiyah Kartasura Branch of academic year 2017/2018.
