Abstract

Currently, there are two historic buildings of the Dutch colonial heritage. Both buildings have similarities in terms of architecture and differences in terms of management, namely Vastenburg Fort Solo and Vredeburg Fortress Yogyakarta. The equations contained in both buildings should be used as a mutual learning of their management, thereby erasing existing differences and preserving both buildings as cultural heritage buildings. It moved the writer to do research at Benteng Vredeburg Yogyakarta. The results of research are the findings of physical management and non-physical management. Physical management of managers has succeeded in creating a safe, comfortable, productive and sustainable city space in accordance with Law no. 26 of 2007 on Spatial Planning, and preserving cultural heritage buildings in accordance with Law no. 11 of 2010 on Cultural Heritage, as well as maintaining and maintaining the buildings in accordance with PERMEN PU. 24 / PRT / M / 2008 About Building Guidelines and Maintenance. Non-physical management in the form of managers seeks to invite the public to take part in maintaining and maintaining the fort and make the fort not only the property of the manager, but the community, especially the property of the people of Yogyakarta. Revitalization of Vastenburg Castle Solo in planning and design refers to the research result that is the success of Benteng Vrdeburg Yogyakarta. The concept of revitalization is to revive the dead castle area by presenting the public space needed by society and highlighting the building of cultural heritage, it will create a safe, comfortable, productive and sustainable city space in accordance with Law no. 26 Year 2007 About Spatial Planning and make the building or area of Vastenburg Castle Solo sustainable in accordance with Law no. 11 Year 2010 About Cultural Heritage.
