Abstract
The existence of small and medium enterprises (SME) that use the internet as promotion medium is a new form in the development and utilization of the internet in the sales sector of SME product. Internet is used as a promotional medium because it is more profitable than some other media. One of the SME that use and utilize the internet as a promotion medium is SME Harmoni, located in the village of Kembangan, Baki, Sukoharjo. The purpose of this research is to describe the use and utilization of internet by SME Harmoni. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The object of this research is SME Harmoni that already use internet as media of promotion. Data were collected by semi-structured interview techniques. Data analysis method used is source triangulation. The result of this research show that in the use of the internet as a promotion medium, must have a simple promotion principles, promotional, purposes, consumers, products, and services, as well as utilizing social media channels such as instagram, facebook, and whatsapp online chat application. The benefit is getting new customers to improve the economy.
