Abstract
Background: Carpaltunnel syndrome (CTS) is a condition of emphasis on the carpal trowongan resulting in pain, tingling and numbness of the thumb, index finger, middle finger and half radial of the ring finger. CTS is more often about women than men. Unilateral syndrome in 42% of cases (29% right, 13% left) and 58% bilateral. Objective: To determine the management of physiotherapy in reducing pain, increasing the range of motion of the joints (LGS), maintaining muscle strength, and improving functional ability optimally in cases of dextra CTS with TENS and US modalities, and exercise therapy. Results: After 6 weeks of therapy, the result of pain reduction with VAS; tenderness, silence and motion in the dextra wrist; active resisted exercise therapy can nurture and enhance the Joint Motion Scope (LGS) on the dextra wrist; Active-resisted exercise therapy can increase muscle strength; and active resisted exercise therapy can improve functional ability optimally on the dextra wrist. Conclusions: Ultrasound, TENS, and exercise therapy can reduce pain, increase the strength of the Circumcision Circumcision (LGS), increase the ability of optimal muscle and functional strength.
