Abstract
This study aims to determine whether the application of habituation activities can improve the ability to memorize short letters Al-Qur'an on fourth grade students SD N 1 Jambukulon. This type of research is a classroom action research using quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The research methods used are interview, observation, test, and documentation. The results of this study indicate the average percentage of the ability to memorize short letter Al-Qur'an fourth grade students SD N 1 Jambukulon at pre cycle of 26.32% with accuracy aspects makhraj 47.37% and accuracy of tajwid 21.05%. After the action in cycle I mean the percentage of students' memorization ability increased to 55.26% with the accuracy aspect of makhraj 65.79% and the accuracy of tajwid 34.21%. Then performed the improvement in cycle II the average percentage of students' memorization ability increased again to 81.57% with the aspect of makhraj accuracy 89.47% and the precision of tajwid 71.05%. Thus the application of habituation activities can improve the ability to memorize short letters of Al-Qur'an to students of grade IV SD N 1 Jambukulon.
