Abstract
Teaching Hospital is a hospital is managed by a university for education of medical students of educational programs, postgraduate and clinical research (according to Medline 1997). Speaking of teaching hospitals, this can not be separated from the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta conducting medical school study program. Because according to the Law No. 20 of 2013, the university or college which organizes medical study programs should have their own educational hospital. This is what is behind the planning of this final task to plan and plot UMS Teaching Hospital. In addition, the hospital planned biophilik design approach. What was the design biophilik? Biophilik design is a design that provides an opportunity for people to live and work in a healthy place, The minimum level of stress, and provide a prosperous life by integrating nature with natural materials and natural forms into the design (Browning, Ryan, & Clancy, 2014). Design biophilik been selected for robust design approach in helping the recovery of the patient, it can be seen from various studies such as patient rooms with views to nature has proven to lead to a faster recovery rate (Ulrich, 1984). Shorter patient stays in the room with access to direct sunlight (Beauchemin & Hays, 1996). This can be seen from various studies such as patient rooms with views to nature has proven to lead to a faster recovery rate (Ulrich, 1984).
