Abstract
PT Kubota Indonesia is a diesel engine company with 6.5-11 HP capacity with Niigata HN50C machine which is a vital machine that can satisfy the requirement of crank case machine product. The oldest machines in the production line cause frequent failures resulting in cessation of the production process. This study was conducted on the Niigata HN50C machine with the purpose of knowing the failure mode of the machine, knowing the priority of component failure risk on the machine, recommending the maintenance action on the machine and knowing the replacement time interval on the critical component of the machine. This research using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method is a structured method of maintenance alternatife selection based on operational, economic and security criteria. Processing begins system selection, system description, system boundary determination, FMEA analysis, LTA and Selection of action, to obtain failure mode, failure priority, failure category, failure action selection and component replacement interval. The Niigata HN50C engine results in the 3 critical components of selenoid, proximity switch and spindle sensor with successive time intervals of 4653,649 hours, 704.5 hours and 1787.8 hours. The 2nd, 4th, and 5th Niigata HN50C component at a hydroulic interval with time intervals of 1179 hours, 1264,6 hours and 2032 hours, respectively. Keywords: FMEA, Failure, LTA, Maintenance, RCM
